Winter Peony

Today I went to Sekkoji Temple and Taima Temple in Nara to see winter peonies protected by straw umbrellas. They are all about 40 to 50 cm tall. Their flowers are really enticing.
This is part of Pink Saturday and Floral Friday Fotos.

  6. The peonies are so beautiful, I like the white specially. And the straw umbrellas are awesome!
About the recipe, I'm not sure if it will be easy for you to find all the ingredients here in Japan, but I can send it to you and you can decide. It's a typical Catalan soup and it's so good.
There's a link to my email on my blog, on the side bar where it reads "email me". If you email me there I will write you back tomorrow with the recipe.

    Have a great Sunday!

  7. It must have cost years and years of dedication to get flowers to grow in winter. The same dedication to get a great bonsai tree. Wonderful .
